A dramatic reading based on Revelation 7:9-10, 17 and Exodus 12
Before having someone do the reading below, read the following from Revelation 7.
Behold, a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They are clothed in white robes, and palm branches are in their hands, and cry out loudly, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.â€
The Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Ask: How will we feel throughout Eternity when we look upon the enthroned “Lamb who was slain for us before the foundation of the world�
READING
My name is Jurisadai; I am ten years old. We lived in Egypt until the other day when my daddy told me to catch a lamb. I held it while he slit its throat. Yuk! Blood sprinkled all over me. Flies came because the lamb stank. Daddy smeared its blood beside the door of our house, because Moses had warned that the death angel would kill each family’s oldest son. But if the death angel saw the blood, he would pass over.
That night I couldn’t sleep; I was scared because I am the firstborn. The night grew cold, dark and silent. I prayed, Dear God, please let the angel see the blood.
I heard screams, faintly and far off. They grew closer and louder. Soon they were all around us. I shut my eyes tight, pressing my hands over my ears. I waited, pleading, Dear God, save me!
The screams grew fainter and farther away; then, silence. I was alive! I opened my eyes. Daddy and momma stood over me, weeping. The death angel had seen the blood of the lamb!
