Compare T&M(r) with PTLT

Train & Multiply® Paul-Timothy Leader Training T&M® is suitable for long-term programmes of on-going pastoral training and church multiplication. Is suitable for new efforts that require training materials quickly while awaiting a T&M translation. T&M booklets are more widely tested and proven in many languages and peoples. PTLT has not been widely adopted. The 2001 and later version of T&M is much improved with many corrections from the original author. Though written by the original T&M author, PTLT has not been widely tested.

T&M Booklets are more thorough in their treatment of topics.

PTLT studies deal with a wider variety of topics, but more briefly.

T&M booklets are geared to pastors of more traditional congregations that may have a preaching ministry. Each study is written in two forms: (1) for novice leaders of new cells and congregations, and (2) for children’s workers. Each T&M translation has professionally-drawn art that is adapted to its culture region. Art in PTLT studies is scarce and generic, and should be replaced by those who translate them. The T&M menu is keyed to suggested training and mentoring methods as well as to booklet titles. The PTLT studies present very little on training and mentoring methods. Earlier versions of T&M were written primarily for nominally-Christian populations. The 2001 version and later is more generic. PTLT studies assume a non-Christian population and novice workers with a non-Christian background. T&M materials focus on reproduction: pastors and missionaries training new leaders, and young congregations birthing new congregations. Some PTLT studies deal with reproduction but mostly help novice “shepherds” plan their weekly activities and congregational worship times. T&M is available under license from Project WorldReach. The modest fee is negotiable. PTLT is a free download from Paul-Timothy Trainers. To obtain T&M, first visit the T&M web site: www.TrainAndMultiply.com.
